What are the grid access requirements for renewable installations over 100 kW?
According to RD 1183/2020, Art. 5-7, installations >100 kW require access and connection permits from the system operator. The applicant must submit a technical feasibility study, a grid impact assessment, and post a financial guarantee per Art. 23.
Which provisions regulate the economic regime for wind farms?
The specific remuneration regime is established in RD 413/2014, Art. 14-20, supplemented by Order IET/1045/2014 which defines standard installation types and parameters. Wind farms receive a remuneration based on standard revenue per Art. 14.4.
What does the Electricity Sector Act say about technical restrictions?
Ley 24/2013, Art. 8 establishes that the system operator must resolve technical restrictions to guarantee supply security. The procedure is detailed in RD 2019/1997, Art. 23-25 and CNMC Circular 3/2019.
How are electricity transmission tolls calculated?
Transmission tolls are calculated per CNMC Circular 3/2020, using a methodology based on cost allocation by voltage level and time period. Art. 7-9 define the six time periods and their corresponding price terms.
What changed in the latest Royal Decree on self-consumption?
RD 244/2019 introduced collective self-consumption and simplified surplus compensation. Art. 4 defines modalities (with/without surplus), and Art. 9-11 establish the simplified compensation mechanism for installations ≤100 kW.

How current is the data?
We synchronize daily with the BOE. When a law is amended, the new version is indexed within 24 hours and version diffs are generated automatically.
How does MCP access work?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to external data sources. You add our server URL to your AI client's configuration, and the assistant can query our legislation database directly.
