Frequently asked questions

What is I90 data?

I90 is the definitive settlement data published by REE (Red Eléctrica de España) 90 days after each operating day. It contains the final energy allocations and prices for all market programs.

What can I query?

Any aggregated query across the operational_data table: energy volumes, prices, unit participation, program breakdowns, temporal patterns. Raw data is limited to 50-row samples for data protection.

Do I need an account?

Notebooks are public to view — no account needed. Editing and creating notebooks requires a free account.

How do I connect via MCP?

Add the ESIOS Data MCP server to your Claude Desktop configuration. It provides tools for querying market data, exploring the schema, and checking data availability.

What programs are included?

All 13 Spanish electricity market programs: PDBF (day-ahead), PDVP and RTR (constraints), PHF1-7 (intraday sessions), BS (secondary reserve), RR (replacement reserve), and BT (tertiary/mFRR).
